Who We Are
Volunteers respond to calls from law enforcement to go to the scene of a crime to assist victims with support, referrals, transportation, crisis intervention, assistance with Crime Victims Compensation, safety planning, and information and referral.
CIU ensures that volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and, 365 days a year to assist victims. We ask that each volunteer be available to be on call for a minimum of 4 shifts per month (available to respond to a call, if one is received). |
Our volunteers come from all walks of life. We have male and female volunteers, students, military personnel, retirees, etc. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to apply!
All potential volunteers are required to fill out an application, come in for an interview, and be able to pass a background check before classes are scheduled to begin.
Our volunteers have the extraordinary opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others at their most VULNERABLE TIME.
We are currently taking applications.
